Comes over me
In the stillness
Of the warm night.
Your voice and tone have
Softened now
I almost hear the
Young man
Peaking out from
The façade of the broken hearted boy
And how funny it seems as the blade dances,
Not breaking the surface of my skin
But sending tingles of pleasure up my spine.
The music pounds in my ears,
Every beat of the drum
Forces me to breathe again
It lifts me up and dances with me
It courses through my veins
It is my life source.
My very blood.
There is only music now
Shadows are cast
On all four walls
And my voice strengthens
Voic
"Les Rats" I swirled my drink as the door opened, more people entering this dimly lit room from the bright stars of the dark skies. There is a black man playing a sad jazzy song on his saxophone, people in the club sit alone, together in their broken heartedness. I finish my drink and set the glass on a table next to me. Reaching inside my coat pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes I notice something out of the corner of my eye, a pretty girl? No, its gone. Mourning the loss of the momentary beauty, I put a cigarette in between my lips and let it rest there while finding the matches. The flickering light illuminates a face on my left side, "Its her!""Les Rats" by ~SiobhanTheFearless
